Name-Based Case Searches
Pick the court before you type a name. Superior Court keeps the felony, divorce, adoption, equity, and land-title files. Misdemeanors, traffic, and limited civil cases live in State Court. Magistrate Court holds small claims, dispossessory, warrant, and ordinance matters, while Probate, Juvenile, and Conyers Municipal Court each maintain their own records.
- Read the newest court paper and identify the exact court.
- Use re:SearchGA for participating Rockdale Superior or State Court records and create or use the required account.
- Enter the party name as shown on the filing, then narrow by court, case type, or date if the live service offers those controls.
- Compare the court, case number, caption, and filed date before opening a result.
- Read the header and newest event, then obtain the document from the proper clerk when the index is not enough.
Search fields: The live re:SearchGA form never loads for general visitors. The service returns a 403 response. That means no one can confirm from the official page whether partial names, middle names, or date ranges work. It also hides whether wildcards are allowed. Treat the table as a record of what access costs and requires, not a guide to the form itself. Anyone needing the real search fields must use a valid account or ask the clerk.
| Search item | Verified status | Use | Caution |
|---|---|---|---|
| Account | Required | Access participating records | Not universal statewide coverage |
| Party name | Expected, label unseen | Find possible matches | Confirm court and caption |
| Case number | Expected, format unpublished | Reach a known file | Do not guess punctuation |
| Court | Coverage is verified | Separate State and Superior | Other Rockdale courts use other routes |
Rockdale County re:SearchGA Route
The current search layer is re:SearchGA, a Tyler-hosted Georgia court-record service. Georgia Courts lists Rockdale State and Rockdale Superior as participants and notes that an account is required.

A 403 response or a login screen means the search fields were never reached. That is an access barrier, not a failed case search. It does not mean the person or case is missing. Fees, document-image prices, result columns, and help text stay hidden behind that wall. So assume none of them.
Portal blocked? Move to the clerk phone, counter, civil public terminal, mail route, or eCertification instead of treating the error as a no-record result.
Case Number Searches
An exact court-issued number is the safest key for a Rockdale County docket search. Copy it from a citation, summons, filed pleading, order, receipt, or clerk message. The official Rockdale pages publish no single number grammar covering every court. A prefix borrowed from another Georgia county may simply fail.
Uniform Superior Court Rules describe a sequence that may include the year, case type, consecutive number, and judge assignment where needed. That general rule does not prove how Rockdale displays its prefix or punctuation. The honest local example is exact court-issued case number. With only part of the number, give that text plus the party name to the correct clerk. Then ask how to enter it.
Watch for mismatches. A citation number may differ from the later court case number. A transfer or appeal can open a related higher-court file. Match the court and caption before treating two numbers as one docket.
Rockdale County Old Login Retired
The former Attorney Secure Access page is a historical route now. Its login frame still shows User ID and Password fields, but public support ended on January 1, 2026, and the page now points users to re:SearchGA for current remote access. The old Tyler login page mainly explains why an older bookmark looks familiar.

Do not mistake that screen for a current public search form. Repeated attempts there waste time. Move on to the live service, or call the office that keeps the file.
Case Search Results Explained
A result row is just an index to a court file. The complaint, indictment, motion, order, judgment, return of service, exhibit, transcript, or certification behind each line may not appear. Read the header first, then work through the chronological register to the newest event.
| Case Number | The court's unique identifier; copy it exactly. |
|---|---|
| Style or Parties | The formal caption, subject to public-access limits and redaction. |
| Case Type | The kind of matter and the court that has it. |
| Filed Date | The date the initiating paper was accepted, not the hearing date. |
| Status | A label such as pending, closed, or disposed that must be read with the latest entry. |
| Register | The ordered list of filings, service, motions, orders, settings, continuances, and results. |
Terms like "filed," "entered," "served," "continued," "reset," and "disposed" each carry a distinct meaning. A motion entry proves only that a request was made, never that it was granted. A setting is not a disposition. A missing document can reflect sealing, redaction, separate custody, off-site storage, or simply the need for a copy request.
Rockdale County Filing Is Not Search
Odyssey eFileGA is where attorneys and registered users file papers. It is not the public case-search interface. Landing there while trying to read an existing docket pulls you into the wrong account flow. The official Odyssey eFileGA landing page shows the filing service's separate role.

Two different tasks, two different doors. Looking up a public record means re:SearchGA or the clerk who keeps the file. Filing means eFileGA, and only when the court's rules and the user's role call for electronic filing.
Two Ways to Search: County and State
Georgia offers no all-court public search that merges every Rockdale County docket into one place. re:SearchGA covers only participating courts, and in Rockdale those are State and Superior Court. For everything else, the local clerks remain essential.
| State layer | Rockdale custodian route |
|---|---|
| re:SearchGA account for participating State and Superior records | Superior/State Clerk phone, counter, terminal, mail, and copies |
| No verified universal Magistrate search | Magistrate calendar and clerk at 770-278-7800 |
| No general public Juvenile docket | Juvenile clerk at 770-278-7777, subject to restrictions |
| Probate not shown as part of the same route | Separate Probate Tyler estate route and 770-278-7700 |
| Conyers not a county portal row | Municipal Court Services and 770-929-4208 |
The civil public terminal in the clerk's office is an official fallback. Self-service copies run 50 cents per page. Superior Criminal keeps files on site for up to 15 years. Older records may need three days to retrieve. State traffic users should wait seven days after a ticket is issued. Only then should they seek fine information.
Rockdale County Search Fallbacks
When the online route stalls, pick up the phone or go in person. The Rockdale County Clerk of Superior and State Courts keeps Superior civil and felony files. It also holds State civil, misdemeanor, and traffic cases. The public civil terminal and the counter both work for finding an index entry. Staff can route a known case over the phone. Mail also works for a record request. For qualifying certified copies, eCertification delivers them. Its county, document, payment, and email steps must be done first.
Lower courts sit with separate offices. Magistrate holds its own limited civil and criminal files. Probate offers a Tyler estate-record route for estate documents from 2003 forward. Wills filed but not probated stay out of it. Juvenile access is restricted. Conyers Municipal Court runs city citations and ordinance matters on its own. It sits apart from the county clerk.
One caution about JustFOIA. It is an administrative route for county records. It is not a stand-in for a judicial case file. The clerk where the case began controls the docket and any certification. For the document behind an index line, ask that court directly. Skip the broad county open-records portal.
Which Cases Stay Restricted
Not every Rockdale County case or field is visible online, even with public access. Juvenile matters carry special confidentiality rules. Hearing access there is governed separately too. Sealed records, protected information, and some family or sensitive filings may be hidden or redacted. The public Probate estate route excludes an unprobated will.
A blank search result has many possible causes. The court may be wrong, or the filing too new for the index. An old file can sit in storage. Account failure, sealing, redaction, or a record held by another clerk could also explain the gap. Never treat a missing row as proof of a case's existence or outcome.
Ask the originating court about its lawful request process. A clerk cannot disclose a sealed matter just because someone knows a name or number. Access to a restricted record may require party status, identification, an attorney appearance, or a court order. Certification belongs to the clerk who maintains the original.
Rockdale County Search Header or Document
A docket header tells you which case you have open; the document tells you what a filing or order actually says. The header may list the court, number, caption, judge, filed date, type, status, lawyers, and event register. Check it before ordering any copy. That step keeps the right file in front of you.
The document layer runs deeper. It can include complaints, indictments, accusations, motions, orders, judgments, service returns, exhibits, transcripts, and certifications. Remote results may show only an index. Some images stay restricted. When the text behind an entry is needed, use the Rockdale County clerk's terminal, counter, mail route, or eCertification.
