Search Rockdale County Court Docket

Conyers offers a court calendar, a clerk counter, a public terminal, and a direct request, and many Rockdale County searches begin with one of those because online access covers only some Superior and State Court matters. Superior, State, Magistrate, Probate, Juvenile, or Conyers Municipal Court holds each Rockdale County, Georgia case. Identify it first. Filings, settings, orders, and results appear in the running list the owning court keeps. Court and record type decide the path, and a Rockdale County court docket search follows it to the right desk.

Rockdale Dockets After Tyler

Rockdale County court docket access changed on January 1, 2026. Tyler Technologies stopped supporting the older public Attorney Secure Access system, the Clerk says. Now it sends public users to re:SearchGA. An old bookmark may still load a login frame. But it is no longer the current public route. Georgia Courts lists both Rockdale Superior and Rockdale State among participating links.

The current service requires an account. Its live fields, document prices, and result columns are set by the portal itself. Check them there rather than assuming another county's layout carries over. Odyssey eFileGA is a different tool entirely. That account-based service submits filings; it is not the public Rockdale County docket search screen. The Rockdale Clerk home page carries the office's current access notice.

The notice is the best checkpoint when an old Tyler link and the current re:SearchGA direction conflict.

Court Dockets: What They Show

A Rockdale County court docket is an index and event history. It is not the whole file. It typically lists the court, case number, parties, filing date, judge, case type, current status, scheduled hearings, and each item filed or entered. Getting the complaint, motion, order, transcript, exhibit, or certified disposition usually takes a separate document request.

Read every entry by its own verb. Filed means a document reached the clerk. Entered usually means an order or judgment went onto the record. Served covers delivery. Continued or reset means a setting moved. Disposed signals a case-level result, but only the related order explains the terms behind it.

Case numberThe court's unique identifier. Rockdale has not published one universal current format.
PartiesNames tied to the case, subject to sealing and redaction.
Docket entriesDated lines for filings, service, settings, orders, and other events.
Hearing settingsDate, time, judge, courtroom, and setting type when available.
StatusA label that must be read with the latest entries and orders.
DispositionThe recorded result, which may require a certified copy.

Rockdale Court Street Docket Map

The main Rockdale County courthouse sits at 922 Court Street NE in Conyers. Superior Court, State Court, Juvenile Court, the Clerk of Superior and State Courts, and the District Attorney all work out of that building. Clerk civil and Superior criminal service is listed in Room 203. State criminal service is in Room 301. The Juvenile clerk is in Room 103.

Not every Rockdale County court docket lives there, though. Magistrate and Probate Court list 874 N. Main Street NW. Conyers Municipal Court Services sits at 1184 Scott Street. A county ordinance page shows a different courtroom address than the current Magistrate page. So confirm that courtroom with the clerk. The county Court Services directory gives official room and court routing.

The directory helps separate the docket keeper from the courtroom where the next event will occur.

Rockdale County Courts and Their Dockets

Georgia runs six trial court classes, and all six touch Rockdale County. Superior Court is the general-jurisdiction court. It handles felonies, divorce, land title, equity, adoption, habeas matters, and assigned appeals. State Court handles misdemeanors, traffic matters, and limited-jurisdiction civil actions. Each lower court keeps its own subject area and its own custodian.

That wide range of cases pulls many Rockdale County docket searches toward the court, but it still cannot replace the lower-court routes.

Rockdale Magistrate Docket Rhythm

Magistrate Court publishes the clearest recurring Rockdale County schedule. Jail first appearances are listed for Monday morning and Wednesday afternoon. Committal cases are set Wednesday afternoon at the jail. Warrant applications appear Monday afternoon, and ordinance cases land on the first and third Tuesday morning. Civil cases run Thursday afternoon. Dispossessory and distress matters occur weekly as needed.

These are calendar patterns, not a party-name search. They explain the kind of setting you might see on a Rockdale County court docket, but the clerk must confirm a date for a specific matter. A first appearance is not a trial. A committal setting addresses probable cause, while a Thursday civil calendar covers limited civil work. The Rockdale Magistrate Court page identifies jurisdiction and forms.

This separate source matters because re:SearchGA is not documented as a public Magistrate portal.

Court Dates and Settings in Rockdale County

Start with the paperwork. The court named on your citation, summons, or prior notice is the one to ask about a Rockdale County court date. For participating Superior and State cases, re:SearchGA can show a setting once you have an account, though you should still check it against the newest order and the assigned clerk. State traffic users should give the record at least seven days after a citation before asking about a fine.

Magistrate users can compare a case type with the posted weekly pattern. Conyers publishes arraignment, revocation, and Trial A through Trial D blocks. A published block does not confirm a setting in any specific case. Juvenile dates require the Juvenile clerk plus case-specific authority. Federal dates live in PACER. The Rockdale County court schedule has more detail.

Rockdale Probate and Juvenile Dockets

Probate and Juvenile Court are why a single Rockdale County court docket search cannot reach every record. Probate runs its own estate-record path for filings from 2003 forward, excluding wills filed but not yet admitted to probate. Its clerk, forms, and categories sit apart from the Superior and State clerk those courts share. The Rockdale Probate Court website groups estates, guardianships, licenses, and services under those headings, which send readers to the probate office rather than the main county portal.

Juvenile records play by a different rule. Georgia law opens some hearings, but juvenile case files are not generally public. Delinquency, dependency, and under-17 traffic files stay with the Juvenile clerk, and the specialty programs publish no participant list. The official Juvenile Court page gives the office route.

So a missing online result never proves that no case exists. The separate office and its privacy rules do the explaining.

Docket Access Under Georgia Law

Court records and ordinary county paperwork do not travel one request road. Georgia's Attorney General explains the Georgia Open Records Act for agency records. Court records follow court-specific procedures instead. That means a judicial docket or document request goes to the clerk who keeps the file. Rockdale County's JustFOIA portal handles county administrative material, not every court request under the sun.

Key Rules:

O.C.G.A. §§ 50-18-70 through 50-18-72 govern agency records, response duties, fees, exemptions, and redaction.

O.C.G.A. § 15-6-77 is reflected in Rockdale's filing, copy, and certification schedule.

Uniform Superior Court Rule 36.16 preserves access for eligible electronic filings while excluding sealed material.

O.C.G.A. § 15-11-700 identifies juvenile hearings that may be open without opening juvenile files broadly.

Plenty can hide a filing from view. A sealed document, redacted field, restricted case, or off-site file may be absent online while the clerk still holds the record.

Rockdale Docket Copies and Certification

A docket line only locates a filing. It is not the document itself, and it is not a certified copy. Rockdale's Civil Division offers public terminals for civil records. Self-service copies there run 50 cents per page. Staff-assisted plain copies cost $1 per page under the Clerk schedule.

Certified or exemplified copies cost $2.50 for the first page. Each added page costs another 50 cents. Faxed or electronic copies cost $2.50 for the first page and $1 for each added page. The Clerk also documents eCertification for regular and certified Court and Real Estate records. Authentication is sent by email. Once payment is authorized, it becomes nonrefundable.

How the Clerk Keeps Docket Records

The Rockdale County Clerk of Superior and State Courts is one office with separate work areas. Civil maintains Superior civil and domestic files. Superior Criminal keeps felony files. State Criminal handles misdemeanor and traffic matters. Official sources identify Janice Morris as the current Clerk.

Online access is one channel among several. The main phone is 770-278-7900. Superior Criminal uses 770-278-7922 and accepts mailed disposition requests. Files up to 15 years old are on site. Older files may need three days for off-site processing. State Criminal uses 770-278-7871, with 770-278-7872 for dates and fines. When an online header lacks the document, the counter, phone, mail, terminal, and eCertification routes all still work.

Federal Dockets Beyond Rockdale County

A federal case tied to Rockdale County will never surface in a state portal. Rockdale sits in the Atlanta Division of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Federal district and bankruptcy cases use PACER. CM/ECF serves authorized users as the filing and notice system. The official PACER pricing page spells out the charges.

PACER charges 10 cents per page, capped at $3 for an ordinary document. Quarterly fees of $30 or less are waived. For free copies of some federal docket items, CourtListener and RECAP can help.

Rockdale Court Access Is Changing

Two access changes are worth watching in Rockdale County. The 2026 switch from the old Tyler system to account-based re:SearchGA changed the online entry point. The county's 2026 budget also funds work on a Judicial and Administrative Complex, including a courthouse expansion, administration move, and parking deck.

Construction plans do not prove every office has moved. Current official pages still identify the listed court sites. Before an in-person Rockdale County docket visit, recheck the court or clerk page for room assignments, parking notices, weather closures, and jury instructions.

City-by-City Court Dockets in Rockdale County

Conyers holds the county seat. The Georgia Department of Community Affairs list shows it is the only incorporated city in Rockdale County. The 2020 Census put its population at 17,305. Municipal Court Services there runs the city's own docket. Traffic tickets, ordinance cases, and municipal criminal matters all land on its calendar. Its calendar posts separate arraignment, revocation, and trial blocks.

A Conyers citation will not simply show up in re:SearchGA or the Rockdale State Court docket. Start instead with the citation itself, the city's date and payment page, a call to Court Services, or the Scott Street counter. A later filing can move the case into county court. Then that court's docket is the one to watch.
